Demanding Sites for Two Schools Call for Innovative Designs

Two New York City schools that opened recently demonstrate creative responses to demanding sites in the Bronx. Designed by MDSzerbaty & Associates Architecture (MDSA) for the New York City School Construction Authority (SCA), PS169 and Jonas Bronck Academy illustrate how thoughtful design can turn less than ideal sits into extremely functional and supportive learning environments. Both facilities opened in September 2009.
