PS154 has been upgraded to address code/life safety deficiencies and to make needed façade repairs to alleviate water and air leakage throughout numerous areas of the building. The $6 million project includes selective demolition, abatement, façade restoration, and accessibility upgrades. The existing building is three stories totaling 110,000 square feet.
To deal with an egress code deficiency and provide elevator access to the building, a new tower has been added. The location shares space with the exterior play area, the sculptured form integrating with the adjacent landscape elements of the playground and access ramp.
