MDSA is converting a one story 16,000 sq.ft. office building into a new urgent care center. The facility includes 12 medical exam rooms, an ophthalmologist exam area, and a dental exam suite organized around a central nurses station.
The project also includes a specialized imaging suite and a rehabilitation area. Programming of the facility provides medical exam and rehab support for two nearby nursing facilities owned by the client.
The raised ceiling and clerestory windows create a light-filled waiting area. A series of skylights serve as wayfinding elements leading from the reception area to the nurses stations bringing light into otherwise dark circulation elements in the center of the building.
