- Relocation of numerous program groups to focus the college on student wellness priorities
- Updated program analysis of existing 220,000 sf complex originally planned in 1992 and updated in 1998
- Relocation of department groups for better adjacencies within existing space
MDSA and ILR, using questionnaires, interviews and space utilization studies, analyzed needs of numerous departments. Head counts and physical space needs were among the considerations, given the transformation to paperless record keeping and the increase in non-full time faculty and staff requiring less permanent work areas. Giving priority to student needs, student service and admission groups are being elevated in the hierarchy resulting in the relocation of areas such as the Dean’s Suite to less prominent but still readily accessible locations within the complex. The goal is to swap areas with minimal renovation to the existing facility, particularly with regard to mechanical and electrical systems.
